HP LASERJET 9000MFP ERROR CODE 30.1.09 SCAN FAILURE

EXPLANATION - The pickup roller home position sensor is not detecting the pickup

roller home position.

 

RECOMMENDED ACTION –

1.     Perform an ADF INPUT diagnostic in the diagnostics menu to verify that the pickup roller assembly is functioning correctly.

2.     Check for loose connections and broken, frayed, or pinched wire

3.     Reseat connector J112 on the SCB, connectors J701 and J703 on the ADF intermediate PCB, and connector J716 on the pickup roller home position detection sensor.

4.     Check the pickup roller home position detection sensor and the pickup roller assembly for disengagement or damage.

5.     Replace the scanner control board

HP LASERJET 9000MFP ERROR CODE 30.1.10 SCAN FAILURE

 

EXPLANATION - ADF Fan Error.

 

RECOMMENDED ACTION –

1.     With the MFP powered on, verify that the fan is not functioning.

2.     Check for loose connections and broken, frayed, or pinched wires.

3.     Reseat the fan connector at scanner control PCB location J109, and connector J156 on the ADF fan.

4.     Replace the ADF fan.

5.     Replace the SCB.

HP LASERJET 9000MFP ERROR CODE 30.1.08 SCAN FAILURE

EXPLANATION - Flatbed motor failure

 

RECOMMENDED ACTION –

 

1.     Perform a flatbed motor diagnostic in the diagnostics menu to verify that the flatbed motor is functioning correctly.

2.     Check for loose connections and broken, frayed, or pinched wires.

3.     .Reseat the flatbed motor connector at the SCB location J108.

4.     Replace the flatbed motor.

HP LASERJET 9000MFP ERROR CODE ADF PICK ERROR

 

EXPLANATION - Too many pages have been placed in the ADF or the pages are not correctly paced in the ADF feeder. The pickup roller might be dirty, damaged, or not installed correctly.

 

RECOMMENDED ACTION –

1.     Remove some of the pages and try the operation again. If necessary, open the ADF feeder and remove any jammed media, and then close the ADF feeder .

2.     Perform an ADF INPUT diagnostic in the diagnostics menu to verify that the pickup roller is functioning correctly.

3.     Pre form a WEIGHT SOLENOID diagnostic in the diagnostics menu to verify the the weight arm is functioning correctly.

4.     Verify that the pickup roller is clean and not damaged.

HP LASERJET 9040/9050 ERROR CODE MESSAGE 30.01.34 SCAN FAILURE

 

EXPLANATION - Scanner initialization failed, and the copyprocess or board (CPB) is not communicating with the scanner-controller board (SCB).

 

RECOMMENDED ACTION –

1.     Turn the product off, and then on.

2.     Check the scanner controller board LEDs.

3.     Check the connections to the scanner controller board.

4.     Replace the scanner controller board.

1. Turn the product off and turn it on.

Error Description:LASER UNIT FAILURE

Possible Solution: Remove Rear Cover , Disconnect P400 , and P401 on the Engine Control

Board. . Inspect both connectors to determine they are fully engaged as a unit. Re-engage, if necessary.

Carefully reinsert the plugs into their joint socket and FIRMLY seat them.

If the problem persists, replace the Laser Unit ,and , or , the Engine Control Board

Error Description:LASER UNIT POLYGON MOTOR FAILURE

Possible Solution: Remove Rear Cover , Disconnect P400 , on the Engine Control Board.

Inspect both connectors to determine they are fully engaged as a unit. Re-engage, if necessary.

Carefully reinsert the plugs into their joint socket and FIRMLY seat them.

Replace the Laser Unit , If the problem persists, replace the Engine Control Board

Error DescriptionATC SENSOR FAILURE

Possible Solution: Remove the Rear Cover , and Rear Shield , Measure the voltage at P534-5 on the Engine Control Board. Does the voltage measure between +1 VDC and +3 VDC?

Yes - Replace the Engine Control Board

No- Replace the Developer Housing Assembly

Replace the Engine Control Board , Replace the Developer Housing Assembly

Note If this failure reoccurs three times successively, an Engine NVRAM

value is set preventing further printer use until the NVRAM Access /

Clear Tech Rep Fault / Clear <09-380 ~ 09-383> is run.

Xerox Phaser 7700 Error Code 30

Error Description:Accumulator Belt HOME POSITION TOOK TOO LONG.

Possible Solution See Below

Ensure the Accumulator Belt shipping restraints have been removed.

Enter Service Diagnostics Mode

Run the “Clear Tech Rep Fault”

Lower the Main Release Lever and return to the upright position to reestablish electrical

connections to the belt.

Open the RH Door and defeat the interlock switch.

Look for rotation of the Accumulator Belt during the following test.

Enter Adjustments / Calibrations menu.

Run the “Belt Edge Learn” test.

If the problem persists, replace the Engine Control Board

Possible Solution: Switch printer power OFF. Remove the Fuser Assembly.

Warning Fuser may be very hot. Use extreme caution to prevent burns.

Measure the resistance between the Fuser Assembly connector P600-4 and P600-6

Does the resistance measure between 20K and 100K ohms?

No ? - Replace the Fuser Assembly.

Yes ? - Reinstall Fuser. , Remove the Rear Cover , Rear Shield and

the Rear Shield Bracket , Measure the resistance between P404A-1

Does the resistance measure between 20K and 100K ohms?

No ?

Repair or replace the wiring harness between the Engine Control Board and the Fuser.

2. Measure the resistance between the Fuser connector P600-4 and P600-6.

3. Does the resistance measure between 30 K and 190 K Ohms?

If no, replace the fuser

If yes ,

1. Measure the resistance between fuser connector P600-1 and P600-12.

2. Does the resistance measure 20 Ohms or less?

If no, replace the fuser

Error Description: Install or Reseat Fuser, Code 41

Possible Solution:

1. Turn OFF power and remove the FuserAssembly.

2. Measure the resistance between the fuser connector P600-4 and P600-6.

3. Does the resistance measure between 30 K and 190 K Ohms?

If no, replace the fuser

If yes,

1. Reinstall the fuser assembly.

2. Enter service diagnostics.

3. From the Sensor Tests run the Fuser Temperature test.

4. Is the temperature indicated approximately 165o C?

If no, replace the fuser

Note:

If this failure reoccurs three times successively, an Engine NVRAM value is set

preventing further printer use until the Clear Tech Rep Fault is performed.
